Decent days look like this:
Teaching summer school literature classes dressed in cutoffs and a tank top. Super chill coworkers (cat and dog, and they work for treats). Rain on the metal roof and the steady chirrup of birds. A plentiful supply of caffeine in a sweaty copper cup. Candles because I want them in my little office space, and no one can tell me to put them out. Reading and chatting with students. Thinking maybe the decking needs paint, but not today. 💜
